About Ribhu Foundation
Our Mission
"While our journey began with a focus on creating self-sustenance for individuals with disabilities, our vision has grown. We recognized that the gap between 'training' and 'livelihood' exists for many in our society. Today, Ribhu Foundation is a platform for Right Education—providing underprivileged individuals with the tools, mentorship, and market access they need to build a future defined by their talent, not their circumstances."

Know a Ribhu?
In Sanskrit, Ribhu means clever, skilful - an artisan. We believe this name perfectly reflects the individuals we work with—talented creators who are defined by their skills and their contribution to society, not by any limitation.

Who are we?
Meet the Directors
"We founded Ribhu to move beyond temporary aid toward a permanent ecosystem of self-sustenance for the underprivileged. Combining decades of volunteering with our mainstream business expertise, we provide the infrastructure and market access needed for Ribhus to thrive. Our goal is to create a professional legacy where skill—not background—determines an individual’s future."

FAQ's
1. Who are the Ribhus?
At our foundation, "Ribhu" is the name we use for our talented artisans. They are high-functioning individuals, often on the autism spectrum, who possess exceptional focus and a dedication to precision in handcrafted arts.
2. How does my purchase support a Ribhu?
Every purchase directly contributes to creating a self-sustainable livelihood for our artisans. As a Section 8 foundation, 100% of our surplus is reinvested into professional training, materials, and infrastructure to help our Ribhus achieve financial independence.
3. What is the quality standard of Ribhu products?
We do not view our work as "charity" products, but as professional-grade artisanal goods. We are currently streamlining our SOPs to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring that every gift box or hand-stamped coaster meets the high expectations of corporate partners like Smoor and Thoughtworks.
4. Can I visit the workshop where the Ribhus work?
Yes, we operate out of centers like the SAI-Apoorva Centre for Autism in Bangalore. We encourage partners and volunteers to visit during our "5–9" second-shift hours to see the precision and care that goes into our 35,000+ annual diya production and nursery collections.
